At 16,023ft (4,884 m), Carstensz Pyramid is located in the central highlands of Irian Jaya Papua – Indonesia and is the highest peak in Oceania, Australiasia continent. The mountain was named after Jan Carstensz, a Dutch explorer who was the first European to sight the peak.

The mountain was first climbed in the 1960s by an expedition led by Heinrich Harrer of Eiger North Wall, fame yet factors such as intricate permit requirements, difficult access to approach the moutain and conflicts in the region have led to Carstensz Pyramid not receiving many ascents.

Even though access were not easy, Across Indonesia proudly to announce that with things well and carefully prepared early in advanced on both permits and access, all of our Carstensz Pyramid Climbs since 2006 had oustanding success.
